Loss and Grief

I offer a safe place and support to help you navigate your emotional and psychological challenges in your time of loss and grief after a death of a loved one or significant loss or change in your life.

Solution Focused/Goal Oriented Therapy

I can help you build a solution to a problem or an issue that needs short-term goals to a suitable outcome. Focusing on the here and now and moving forward drawing on your strengths and resources to create a new outlook.

Talk Therapy

Applying Cognitive Behaviour Therapy and Narrative Therapy we will have a meaningful conversation to address unwanted thoughts, relationship concerns and/or behaviours to make change in a positive way.

Process Oriented Psychotherapy

As a process oriented psychotherapist, I support individuals in becoming more aware to the deeper wisdom within their experiences. Every experience you have whether it be distressing or disruptive holds intelligent signals to guiding you toward personal growth. Rather than focusing only on resolving problems, I help you explore the underlying patterns, body symptoms and dreams that may be calling for your attention. By staying present to the unfolding process, whether it is awareness of body sensations, emotional understanding or relational dynamics I can guide you discover meaning and direction from within. Together, we create a space where change arises naturally from a deeper connection to self.

Some Techniques For Psychotherapy

Ecotherapy

Mindfulness in nature or ecotherapy can have a grounding effect to help you to lift your mood by reducing stress and anxiety, improve positive emotions and promote a interconnectedness with the natural environment. I like to encourage awareness and mindfulness in nature.  Focusing and connecting with nature in nature can be a powerful way to fade those persistent negative thoughts and feelings while also moving in the outdoors and breathing in fresh air.

ACT Acceptence and Committment Therapy

ACT acceptance and commitment therapy is a type of psychotherapy. I offer ACT to help you manage difficult thoughts, behaviours and feelings by gaining awareness and acceptance of the problem and associated effects. It’s not only about being able to live with the problem, thought or feeling but also learning how to reduce the effect the problem has in your functioning life.

Dream Work

Dream work is the process of exploring and interpreting dreams. I work with you to gain insight into your dreams and connect with your subconscious. Dreams are seen as meaningful messages from the unconscious mind, offering insight into unresolved issues, inner conflict, desires, fears or emerging aspects of self. By exploring your dreams symbols in a collaborative process we will be able to access a deeper level of self-awareness.
